Kent L. Ramsey, M.D.

Kent L. Ramsey, M.D.

Dr. Ramsey graduated from The Ohio State University School of Medicine after receiving the Rusoof Academic Achievement Award for being the first in his class. He completed his internship and residency at Stanford University Medical Center. He has been a clinical assistant Professor of Surgery at the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and has been published in several medical journals. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

He practices general otolaryngology and has special interests in otology, pediatrics, and sleep apnea. He is a Canton native and a Hoover High School graduate. He is very active in his church and enjoys working at his horse farm and playing guitar in a classic rock band.

Charles J. Bogdan, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Charles J. Bogdan, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Bogdan received his M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Case Western Reserve University Hospitals in Cleveland. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and also has Board Certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Bogdan has a special interest in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the head and neck, laser cutaneous surgery, and thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Stark County Medical Society, and the Northeastern Ohio Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He remains involved with teaching students and residents at area hospitals and University Hospitals of Cleveland and has authored several research and medical articles.

Darrell R. Smith, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Darrell R. Smith, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Smith graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology as well as the American College of Surgeons. He is published in multiple academic journals.

He practices the full spectrum of otolaryngology with his professional interest including otology, head and neck oncology, endocrine (thyroid and parathyroid) surgery, as well as management of chronic sinus disease (utilizing the latest technologies, including balloon dilation). Dr. Smith is a Canton native. His hobbies include anything involving his four children, golf, and snow skiing.

Aaron I. Brescia, M.D.

Aaron I. Brescia, M.D.

Dr. Brescia received his M.D. from the University of Toledo. He then went on to complete his Otolaryngology residency training at the University Hospitals of Cincinnati including extensive training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, one of the nations’ busiest children’s hospitals.

Dr. Brescia joined Ohio Head and Neck Surgeons in 2009. He enjoys practicing all aspects of Otolaryngology and seeing patients in every stage of life. His professional interests include Pediatrics, head and neck cancer treatment, surgical treatment of thyroid and parathyroid disease, chronic sinus disease, hearing loss, and allergy testing. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck and the Stark County Medical Society. Dr. Brescia is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is a native to Northeast Ohio and enjoys supporting the Stark County community and public schools. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boating, coaching youth sports, and spending time with his wife and two boys.

Julie Ann Farley, COPM, BBA – Practice Administrator

Julie Ann Farley, COPM, BBA – Practice Administrator

Julie has been the practice administrator for Ohio Head and Neck Surgeons since 2007. In her role, she develops and implements business operating systems, which include business growth, finances, human resources, marketing, and management of over 40 employees. She also manages negotiations with hospitals and insurance companies. Julie received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Kent State University. Julie is a past member of the Jackson Rotary Club and currently is a member of the Stark County Human Resource Association She also is a member of the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators where she serves on several committees. She enjoys spending time with her family and her two Australian shepherds.

Mackenzi Ramus, MPAS, PA-C - Physician Assistant

Mackenzi Ramus, MPAS, PA-C - Physician Assistant

Mackenzi received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Science degrees from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude. She has been a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant since 2014 who comes to Ohio Head and Neck with previous experience in Otolaryngology. Mackenzi has a special interest in hearing loss, allergies, and vertigo. She is a member of the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and The Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Mackenzi is also a Northeast Ohio native, and in her free time, she enjoys golfing, running, drawing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kristine Landenberger, M.A., CCC/A – Audiologist

Kristine Landenberger, M.A., CCC/A – Audiologist

Kristine has over 30 years of experience as an audiologist at Ohio Head and Neck Surgeons. She has a deep respect for the field of Audiology and finds her work very regarding. Driven by her compassion for the hearing impaired population, she takes pride in providing the best hearing care available. She especially enjoys the process of diagnosing, finding the amplification that fits the needs of each patient, and continued support and care for the best outcome possible. She graduated from Kent State University with a B.A. in Communicative Disorders and went on (to study at) The University of Akron where she earned her master’s degree in Audiology. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. In her time off she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and golden retriever.

Laura Warner, M.A., CCC/A – Audiologist

Laura received her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Ohio University. She obtained her master’s degree in audiology from The Ohio State University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has her certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has worked in the ENT setting since 1998, with a majority of that time at Ohio Head and Neck Surgeons. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling, reading, and cheering on the Buckeyes. Laura resides in Carrollton with her husband and two sons.

Ashely Zifer, Au.D., CCC/A – Audiologist

Ashely Zifer, Au.D., CCC/A – Audiologist

Dr. Zifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at The University of Akron and obtained her Doctor of Audiology degree and Certification in Animal Audiology at the University of Cincinnati. She is certified through the American-Speech Language Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Zifer is passionate about being an audiologist, as she’s found the profession to be very rewarding. Dr. Zifer resides in North Canton with her husband and two sons. She enjoys snowboarding, boating, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
